Awaken Our Heart of Compassion, Cultivate a Peaceful Heart for a Peaceful World

Dear Friends,

After the pandemic, our life is getting back to normal. We can work, travel, visit family and friends and attend large gathering. However, many Covid-19 variants continue to spread and cause severe illnesses. We are living in the challenges of the seemingly never-ending pandemic, stagnant global economy, high inflation, extreme heat, drought, and wildfires due to a global warming, a horrifying war in Ukraine and mass shootings that happen more often in the United States and in the world.

In the face of adversity, Compassionate Service Society will host the 2022 World Peace Gathering and Mandala of Great Compassion to awaken our heart of compassion and pray for the deceased.

Compassionate Service Society and Venerable Master Heng Chang cordially invite you to join

2022 World Peace Gathering and Mandala of Great Compassion

Awake our Heart of Compassion

Saturday December 03 and Sunday December 04, 2021

At the Anaheim Convention Center

800 W. Katella Ave., Anaheim, CA 92802

Please attend this year World Peace Gathering to cultivate a peaceful heart for a peaceful world and let our innate compassion be awakened. Highlights of the 2-day event include many educational and spiritual activities such as: Prayers, Dharma Lecture, Meditation, Exercise for World Peace, Three-Steps-One Bow and Mandala. On the evening of Saturday December 3, you will be inspired by a Candlelight Procession to pay homage to many Faces of Compassion.

Mandala of Great Compassion, the grand event of World Peace Gathering, will be held on the evening of Sunday December 4, 2022.  Mandala is a dharma assembly where the aggregation of spiritual power of myriads of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas and thousands of attendees takes place.  The function of the Mandala is to bring peace and healing to the sick and the suffering and liberation to those who have passed away. It also has the unique power to transform karmic obstructions of all those who attend.

Compassionate Service Society also organizes a 10-day Altruistic Home-Leaving retreat from November 26 to December 5, 2022. This program provides a unique opportunity for participants to experience the transcending path toward Truth, Goodness, and Beauty, and to inspire practitioners to integrate the essence of Buddhism into their daily life. This is the practice of leaving home for 10-days during which the participants make a vow to cultivate on behalf of one or many loved ones. When we cultivate “on behalf of others”, we will transform our own karmic hindrances, develop our kindness and compassion and manifest our altruistic behaviors.

For more details about how to register, join the 10-day retreat, volunteer, or donate, please visit our website: http://wpg.compassheart.com/wpg. The organizing team sincerely requests all who wish to attend to register early to help with food planning for the two days. Meal tickets for lunch and dinner will be distributed when you come to the Dharma Assembly. Please register:

May you and your family be well in body and mind, and your wishes be fulfilled.

Namo Kwan Shr Yin Bodhisattva, the Great Being of Kindness and Compassion, Healing and Forgiving,

Venerable Master Heng Chang and Compassionate Service Society
